Trick to Stop Bandwidth Stealing on Amazon Cloudfront for WordPress

The fact that Amazon’s cloud service doesn’t yet have an option to prevent hotlinking is annoying as I realized my hosting bills were rising as bigger sites were using my files. The only reasonable solution I was able to find was to update your cnames to your cached content every so often to break the links on other sites. Writing an SQL query to do this was another time waster I really didn’t want to deal with, but luckily I came across the Search and Replace plugin for WordPress which does that. Now I can easily update my cname every couple of weeks to kill the links and hopefully lighten up the bandwidth stealing.
